Sending Students Back To School in Style With Special Needs Network LA
Back to School time can be a stressful period for many families, especially those supporting special needs students. After being able to give their student's individualized attention throughout the summer months, school registration is a reminder that their students need to return to the classroom, and that means having extra resources for their loved ones while away from their care.
STIIIZY understands this and is dedicated to helping those in need, and one of the best ways to empower people to thrive is through education. Unfortunately, so many students lack even the most basic resources to be successful at school. That’s why we partnered with the Special Needs Network to provide students with 750 backpacks and school supplies for the 2022-23 school year.
In addition to the backpacks, our STIIIZY Joint Efforts Volunteers came out to lend a hand. Over a dozen volunteers helped to provide the guests with snacks, treats and beverages. Guest speakers and elected officials, including State Senator Steve Bradford, spoke to the crowd about the importance of education and emphasized the vital role community plays in developing young students minds.
Our Joint Efforts crew loved seeing the looks on the student's faces as they picked out their backpacks as well as a brand new book for them to put inside. It was also rewarding to see the relief and delight on the faces of so many parents, who were appreciative to know that STIIIZY is actively involved in creating positive change in their community.
